Conflict Minerals Policy

Hexstone Limited is committed to being a responsible corporate citizen and is committed to ethical trading in an environmentally responsible way. As part of that commitment, we seek to source the products we sell from companies that also share these values.

As a responsible company, Hexstone supports the aims of legislation aimed at preventing armed groups in the Democratic Republic of Congo and adjoining countries from benefitting from the sourcing of conflict minerals from that region. The legislation includes:

  • EU ‘Conflict Minerals’ Regulation 2017 /821
  • The US Dodd-Franck Wall Street Reform and Consumer Act 2010 – Section 1502

The conflict minerals are currently specified as:

  • Columbite-Tantalite (Coltan) refined into Tantalum (Ta)
  • Cassiterite refined into Tin (Sn)
  • Wolframite refined into Tungsten (W)
  • Gold

Whilst Hexstone does not purchase any of these minerals directly and only sells a very limited number of products which may contain any of these minerals, the company has taken steps to ensure all of its products are conflict mineral-free. This includes certification from suppliers and supplier audits to ensure compliance.

This policy applies to all trading divisions of Hexstone Limited:
